This week’s premium content kicks off the launch of the extensive “Next-Gen Armored Car” tutorial series by Shray Khanna. Over the course of this 6 day series. Shray will guide you through the entire process of creating a next-gen, low poly vehicle using Maya and Photoshop.

In today’s tutorial, regular author and contributor Chandan Kumar will show us a simple, yet effective technique for creating a nuclear explosion inside of 3D Studio Max, using Particle Flow. Once the effect is created, Chandan will then move into After Effects where he’ll show how to composite the explosion into live action footage. This tutorial demonstrates how quickly a complex looking effect can be achieved in a short amount of time, without the use of additional plugins. This is a great tutorial for anyone interested in creating visual effects shots. Let’s take a look!

Today we have a great 2 day Cinema4D tutorial by Mountaga Kane covering the modeling, unwrapping, and texturing of a Type 97 hand grenade. Originally published back in July 2009, this tutorial proved to be a hit with our C4D users. So let’s revisit it…
